3. Frncois Marie Arouet was a philiospher who believed in free speech. He also wanted a government that allowed people to believe in there own religion. He shared his ideas with people through his writing. He fought fo what was right no matter how much trouble he got in.
2. Jean Jacues Rousseau was commited to individual freedom. He believed that science, reason, and art corrupted people's natural goodness. He wrote "Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains".He wanted a government that was freely formed by the people- a direct democracy.
3.Cesare Bonesana Baccarie fought the justice system. He believed that laws existed to preserve social order, not to avenge crimes. He thought the justice system was abusing its power by not giving fair trials, torturing people, and giving harsh punishments.

3)Montesquieu devoted himself to the study of political liberty. He believed that Britain was the best-governed and most politically balanced country. He also proposed that separation of powers would keep any individual or group from gaining total control of the government.
