1) Introduction of Poison Gas. Tanks was one they used, and I think they still do. Another one would be hand guns, another popular one is submarine. To this day they use them all.
One weapon would be poison gas, some gases causeed blindness or severe blisters.
Another would be the machine gun which could wipe out waves of attackers.
And the last would be the tank, which could go on any terrain.

Machine guns, poisen gas, and armored tanks. It killed greater numbers of people more effectively.
1) Tanks, machineguns, and airplanes, all created more damage to the enemies so they were used in the war.
Machine Guns- it fires rounds of ammunition automatically. It was improved greatly by the time of WWI. It was able to wipe out waves of attackers. In conclusion, the weapon made it harder for the enemy to advance on the lines.
Poison Gas- soldiers had to wear masks to protect themselves from it. It was introduced by the Germans, originally, but both sides gained access and used it. A lot of the gases caused blindness, severe blisters or choking.
Tank- an armored combat vehicle that moves on chain tracks. With the chains, it sort of becomes an all terrain vehicle. It kept the soldiers opperating it safe inside and could fire off ammo. And if it couldn't do that anymore... well... then you could use it to crush stuff!
1. Submarine- the Germans introduced the submarine as an effective warship. the submarine's primary weapon against ships was the torpedo, an underwater missile.
2. Tank- the tank, shown to the left, was an armored combat vehicle that moved on chain tracks- and thus could cross many types of terrain. it was introduced by the British in 1916 at the battle of Somme.
3. The machine gun, which fires ammo automatically, was much improved by the time of WW1. the gun could wipe out waves of attackers and thus made it difficult for forces to advance.
