1. Galileo Galilei- announced that Jupiter had four moons and that the sun had dark spots. He also noted that the earths moon's had a rough, uneven surface.

3. Thomas Hobbes- expressed his views in a work called LEVIATHAN (1651). The horrors of the English Cival War convinced him that all humans were naturally selfish and wicked.
